Story format: Video.

What happens when an old-school 150 year old industrial giant—a glass maker—wants to no longer be perceived as an old-school industrial giant?  You change the conversation of course. And you do so by telling a story of a future where the glass-maker enables everything (well, almost everything).

As any good storyteller will tell you; to tell a good story, you need to first really understand your subject matter – which is why this story was almost a year in the making (practically embedding oneself into the organization and learning as much as possible about the material science of glass). Published on Youtube in January 2011, the video “A Day Made of Glass” quickly became the most viewed corporate video of all time. A crown that it still holds today (and the story holds up well too).

Turns out, we all like a glimpse into the future.
